We are seeking a skilled and experienced Automotive & Small Engine Mechanic to join our landscaping business. In this role you will be responsible for helping keep our fleet of trucks and maintain our vast supply of landscape equipment in proper working order.
LBD Landscaping a full-service landscape contractor specializing in all phases of landscaping, from construction to general maintenance. We help our customers maintain and improve their property appearance and value through our landscape services and resources. To successfully fulfill this job position, you must be able to perform each essential function satisfactorily. The requirements listed below are representative of the skill and ability required. This position reports to our main shop in Oregon City, and if needed, may be required to drive to jobsites throughout the greater Portland-Metro area.
This is a full time hourly position with the ability to choose a flexible schedule. This position starts at $30-40/hr based on experience.
Requirements:
Proven experience as a mechanic.
Strong knowledge of vehicle systems and components.
Proficient in using diagnostic tools and equipment.
Excellent problem solving and troubleshooting skills.
Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
Good communication skills and record keeping.
Duties Include
Perform routine maintenance and repairs on vehicles and landscape equipment
Diagnose and troubleshoot mechanical issues
Repair or replace faulty parts and components
Conduct inspections and regular maintenance (ie. oil changes, fluid changes, tire rotations, brake work,etc.)
Keep accurate records of work performed and maintain a work schedule
Collaborate with team member to ensure efficient operations
Perform various other shop duties such as blade sharpening, working on small engines, welding, tractor & farm implements, touch up painting on trailers and equipment, etc.
