Join Powell's Bookstore, the largest independent bookstore in America as a Retail Carpenter with our Facilities department and help “build” on our storied legacy. We're looking for a skilled craftsperson to create, repair, and maintain the structures and fixtures that make our unique spaces inviting for book lovers. Your work will include everything from custom shelving and display systems to cabinetry and woodwork that reflect our commitment to quality and creativity. You will be responsible for reading blueprints, taking accurate measurements, and working with a variety of materials like wood, metal, and drywall. This position also involves evaluating and coordinating projects, managing vendor relations, and ensuring safety and efficiency in all tasks.

The regular schedule will be 8am-4pm, Monday through Friday.
Compensation is $24.50 per hour, or more, depending on experience.
