Northeast Electric LLC. has an immediate opening for a full-time experienced fleet mechanic located in Woodland Washington. Career minded and goal-oriented individuals are encouraged to apply.
The fleet mechanic performs highly skilled work repairing and maintaining a wide variety of mechanical equipment including class 2-8 trucks, excavators, directional drills, vacuum excavators, trenchers, cranes and small engines. The mechanic must exercise independent judgment in diagnosing mechanical problems and selecting methods of repair. The lead mechanic will perform guidance and direction to all mechanics.
Fleet mechanic duties include preventive maintenance such as changing oil, replacing filters, checking fluid levels and lubricating moving parts. Check and replace worn belts and hoses, repair cooling system and heater problems, check and measure brake lining thickness, clean and adjust brakes and check driveshaft joints. Inspect, repair and replace standard and automatic transmissions, clutches, differentials, transaxles, drive shafts, half shafts, tires, mirrors, steering and suspension systems, accessories and safety equipment, replace standard or strut shock absorbers, inspect, test, and replace starters, exhaust systems, batteries and charging systems.
In addition to the above duties, the fleet mechanic will: diagnose and repair hydraulic and air brake systems, service wheel bearings, test and repair hydraulic systems, repair or rewire lighting and other electrical systems, perform engine tune up work.

Applicants must be 18 years of age, possess a clean and valid drivers license, pass drug test, CDL a plus. Two years of mechanic experience required. Pay $22-$35 per hour DOE.
