Settlemier's Award Jackets is seeking skilled Finishing Sewing Technicians to join our Production Department. With over 70 years of experience crafting premium Award Jackets in Portland, our finishing sewing technicians play a crucial role in completing the final construction of our jackets.
As a Sewing Technician - Finishing, you will be responsible for performing the final assembly operations that bring all jacket components together into a finished product. Your work requires precision and attention to detail to ensure our jackets meet the high-quality standards our customers expect.
As a Sewing Technician - Patches, you will be responsible for precisely attaching various patches, letters, and emblems to our jackets according to customer specifications. This position requires careful attention to detail and consistency in placement and stitching.
As a Sewing Technician - Linings, you will be responsible for preparing and attaching jacket linings, ensuring proper fit and finish for the interior of each jacket. Your work contributes significantly to both the comfort and quality of the final product.
As a Sewing Technician - Pockets, you will be responsible for constructing and attaching various pocket styles to our jacket fronts with precision and consistency. This specialized position requires attention to detail and skill in creating clean, durable pocket constructions.
As a Sewing Technician - Sleeves, you will be responsible for constructing sleeves before they are attached to jacket bodies. This specialized position requires sewing skills to create consistent, high-quality components that are ready for final assembly.
Key Responsibilities:
● Perform final assembly operations on jacket components
● Sew sleeves to jacket bodies
● Attach knit trim components (collars, cuffs, waistbands)
● Complete final seams and closures
● Attach linings and inner components
● Ensure proper alignment and construction of all elements
● Inspect your work for quality and correct any issues
● Maintain smooth workflow to meet production targets
● Follow established sewing procedures and techniques
● Report any persistent issues to Sewing Technician Lead
● Keep your work area clean and organized
Requirements:
● Previous industrial sewing experience preferred
● Ability to operate industrial sewing machines
● Knowledge of garment construction techniques
● Attention to detail and quality focus
● Good hand-eye coordination
● Ability to follow pattern instructions and specifications
● Capability to sit for extended periods
● Reliable attendance and punctuality
● Willingness to learn new techniques
● High school diploma or equivalent

Settlemier's Award Jackets está buscando Técnicos/as de Costura de Acabados capacitados para unirse a nuestro Departamento de Producción. Con más de 70 años de experiencia elaborando Chamarras de Reconocimiento de primera calidad en Portland, nuestros técnicos de costura de acabados desempeñan un papel crucial en completar la construcción final de nuestras chamarras.
Como Técnico/a de Costura - Acabados, será responsable de realizar las operaciones de ensamblaje final que unen todos los componentes de la chamarra en un producto terminado. Su trabajo requiere precisión y atención al detalle para garantizar que nuestras chamarras cumplan con los altos estándares de calidad que nuestros clientes esperan.
Como Técnico/a de Costura - Parches, será responsable de colocar con precisión varios parches, letras y emblemas en nuestras chamarras según las especificaciones del cliente. Este puesto requiere cuidadosa atención al detalle y consistencia en la colocación y costura.
Como Técnico/a de Costura - Forros, será responsable de preparar y colocar los forros de las chamarras, asegurando el ajuste y acabado adecuados para el interior de cada chamarra. Su trabajo contribuye significativamente tanto a la comodidad como a la calidad del producto final.
Como Técnico/a de Costura - Bolsillos, será responsable de construir y colocar varios estilos de bolsillos en los frentes de nuestras chamarras con precisión y consistencia. Este puesto especializado requiere atención al detalle y habilidad para crear construcciones de bolsillos limpias y duraderas.
Como Técnico/a de Costura - Mangas, será responsable de construir mangas antes de que se unan a los cuerpos de las chamarras. Este puesto especializado requiere habilidades de costura para crear componentes consistentes y de alta calidad que estén listos para el ensamblaje final.
Responsabilidades Principales:
Realizar operaciones de ensamblaje final en componentes de chamarras
Coser mangas a los cuerpos de las chamarras
Colocar componentes de tejido (cuellos, puños, pretinas)
Completar costuras y cierres finales
Colocar forros y componentes internos
Asegurar la alineación y construcción adecuada de todos los elementos
Inspeccionar su trabajo en cuanto a calidad y corregir cualquier problema
Mantener un flujo de trabajo fluido para cumplir con los objetivos de producción
Seguir los procedimientos y técnicas de costura establecidos
Reportar cualquier problema persistente al Líder de Técnicos de Costura
Mantener su área de trabajo limpia y organizada
Requisitos:
Experiencia previa en costura industrial (preferible)
Capacidad para operar máquinas de coser industriales
Conocimiento de técnicas de confección de prendas
Atención al detalle y enfoque en la calidad
Buena coordinación ojo-mano
Capacidad para seguir instrucciones de patrones y especificaciones
