We are seeking a skilled and reliable Structural Welder/Fitter to join our team. This role involves interpreting blueprints, fitting and assembling metal components, and performing various welding processes to fabricate or repair structural steel components. The ideal candidate has strong technical knowledge, attention to detail, and a commitment to workplace safety and quality.
Location: Clackamas (closer to Johnson City/ 212)
Pay Rage: $27-31 DOE
Key Responsibilities:
Read and interpret blueprints, technical drawings, and welding symbols.
Fit, position, and align structural steel parts and components according to specifications.
Perform welding operations using MIG, TIG, Stick (SMAW), or Flux-Cored Arc Welding (FCAW), depending on job requirements.
Use grinder and welding kit to cut and prepare materials.
Inspect completed welds and structural components for accuracy and quality.
Maintain a clean and organized work area and ensure tools and equipment are in good working order.
Follow all safety protocols and wear appropriate personal protective equipment (PPE).
Collaborate with team members to meet project deadlines and quality standards.
Qualifications: ;
technical or trade school certification is a plus.
2+ years of experience in structural welding and fitting (or apprenticeship completion).
Proficient in various welding techniques (MIG, TIG, Stick, FCAW).
Ability to read and interpret blueprints and welding symbols.
Familiarity with fabrication equipment and power tools.
Knowledge of structural steel types, grades, and preparation techniques.
Strong attention to detail and commitment to safety.
Physical ability to stand for extended periods.
