United Salad Co. is seeking a motivated Diesel Mechanic to join our team. Our shop services and maintains a fleet of over 200 vehicles. As our fleet grows, our established crew of mechanics grows with it.
Job Responsibilities:
Diagnose, adjust, and repair class A trucks and refer trailers.
Maintain and service all equipment to Federal DOT standards.
Inspect and replace worn brake components. Experience with steering and suspension systems is desirable.
Job duties will include the use of hand tools, such as screwdrivers, pliers, wrenches, power tools, pneumatic wrenches and jacks.
Perform routine maintenance such as changing oil, checking batteries, and lubricating equipment.
Keeps documentation on all repairs and consistently communicates status of downed vehicles to shop manager and dispatch.
Road test vehicles to diagnose malfunctions or to ensure that they are working properly.
Job Qualifications:
Must be 18+ years of age.
Must provide own hand tools that are adequate to perform job functions.
Valid driver’s licenses is required
Must have one year of truck and/or trailer repair experience.
Unrestricted ability to walk, stand, bend, stoop, squat, lift (up to 75 lbs.), push, pull, climb, and lie on back in horizontal position for prolonged periods of time.
Position is contingent upon a successful background check, an acceptable motor vehicle records check and ability to pass a drug screen, including THC.
