Performance Driven Workforce (PDW) is now hiring Full-time Automotive Mechanics to support an automotive Tier 1 supplier in Portland, OR. We are seeking motivated candidates to join our growing team who have hands-on mechanical experience and are ready to apply their skills to experimental prototype vehicles. Full-time Automotive Mechanics will perform a wide range of diagnostics, repairs and maintenance. Responsibilities:
Maintain vehicle performance by working off repair orders or leader instructions to completing repairs and performing inspections
Diagnose and repair mechanical and electrical system malfunctions, including part replacements
Follow and interpret service procedures to ensure accurate, high-quality work
Document all diagnostics, repairs, and maintenance in vehicle service records
Keep shop equipment in good working order through proper use, troubleshooting, and preventive maintenance
Support a clean, organized shop by participating in daily upkeep
Shift:
AM day shift: 7:00 am to 4:00 pm (Monday - Friday)
Pay:
$22.00/hour
Requirements:
High school diploma or equivalent
Must have a valid U.S. driver's license and a good driving record
Mechanical ability to operate shop equipment
Must be comfortable working on a computer/laptop interface, using programs such as but not limited to: Slack, Teams, Google Sheets and Excel, along with proprietary diagnostic software (training provided) and interpreting code lines (training provided)
Has own tools with rolling toolbox and be able to work overtime and weekends
Good attention to detail and organizational skills
Ability to work independently and as part of a team
Ability to read, comprehend and execute written procedures
Ability to frequently stand, walk, or sit; climb or balance; and stoop, kneel, crouch, or crawl and to regularly reach with hands and arms
Preferred but not required:
Certificate in Automotive Technology or related
National Institute for Automotive Service Excellence (ASE) Certification(s)
State Mechanic Certification(s)
