CLASS A LINEHAUL DRIVER
We are seeking a dependable Class A driver who can operate a forklift, read and carry out manifest directions, independently load and unload trailers, drive the I-5 corridor safely, and back to a loading dock safely. Applicants must be detailed oriented, efficient, and have a clean driving record. The Linehaul position is a swing shift. Shift hours are weeknights, 1700 to 0000/0100.
Pay Rate: $24.00-$29.00 / hour.
Earn 1.25 hours of vacation/PTO/sick time for every 40 hours worked. Medical, dental, vision and 401k after 90 days.
Shifts: MON-FRI, Start times are from 1700 to 0000/0100. Shifts are 7 to 9 hours .
Equipment: Dual-axle Peterbilt tractors, with both manual and automatic transmissions. Trailers from 32' to 53'.
Job Duties: Live offload trailers, follow manifest instructions, drive safely between DS locations.
Responsibilities:
Fully understand how to operate and safely drive your assigned delivery vehicle
Forklift experience required
Keep paperwork organized and in good order
Insure shipment and paperwork match
Preform pre trip and post trip before and after each shift
Keep dispatch/managers aware of any delays or issues
Adhere to company rules and regulations
Obey all applicable traffic laws and drive according to the weather/road conditions
Comply with DOT regulations
Make safety a priority at all times
Qualifications:
Must be 21 years of age or older to apply
Valid Class A driver’s license required
2 plus years proven driving experience with a 53’ tractor-trailer
Must provide copy of Clean Driving Abstract
Pass a background check and DOT drug test
Skilled at driving large vehicles
Physically and mentally fit to perform the job
Disciplined, dependable and resourceful
