Decedent Transport Technician for Synergy First Call Mortuary
Must be at least 23 years old with a valid drivers license!
Schedule would be night shift 9pm - 7:30am
Availability for possible weekend days is required
Decedent Transport Technicians are responsible for the care, removal, and transport of deceased from hospitals, care facilities, homes and crime or accident scenes. All applicants must be at least 23 years old and have a current driver’s license with an acceptable driving record and be able to safely drive company vehicles to perform decedent removals.
We are a family-owned decedent transport company servicing funeral homes and other facilities across the state of Oregon and surrounding areas. We are looking for professional, responsible, motivated individuals to join our team. Previous experience in the funeral industry is preferred.
Successful applicants must have the ability to work schedule to support business needs including weekends, and holidays. This is a physically demanding position that requires one to be able to lift at least pounds and push/pull up to 200 pounds.
Other job responsibilities include:
Following paperwork procedures for deceased identification and billing purposes
Cooperation with police, hospital staff, and medical examiners to accommodate their processes and procedures
Professionally and courteously interacting with family members in home removal situations
Fuels, washes, vacuums, and cleans vehicles ensuring vehicle is presentable
Keeps vehicles stocked with personal protective, removal supplies and cleaning products
Alerts management of vehicle engine or operating issues and drives vehicles for repair or inspection if needed
