Customer Service Representative/Billing Specialist

Customer Service Representative/Billing Specialist to answer phone calls and assist with office work/billing. This individual will work Monday through Friday from 9:00 am-5pm, or hours agreed upon between employee and owner. Employee will report to the business owner.

Requirements:

High school diploma or equivalent required

Exceptional organizational skills and attention to detail

Exceptional phone and customer service skills

Excellent verbal and written communication skills

Prior administrative office or DME experience a plus

Basic computer and software skills

Be able to lift 15-20 lbs independently

Duties and Responsibilities:

Comply with all applicable GROVE MEDICAL policies, procedures, and patient protocols. Comply with all current government regulations and professional standards in accordance with proper patient care.

Work on outstanding claims through accounts receivable

Work denied claims and submit them to proper insurance company

Participate in educational and professional programs and/or review professional literature on an ongoing basis to maintain knowledge and competency in current and developing techniques, professional standards, and the HME products and services offered by Choice Medical.

Educate patients in proper use and care of home medical equipment and supplies.

Maintain rapport with ordering physicians and medical office staff.

Assist in resolving patient equipment problems.

Develop technical knowledge of durable medical equipment products/services provided by GROVE MEDICAL and be able to provide information of same to others upon request.

Answer incoming calls, insurance verifications, daily filing, completing physician/customer orders, mailing, faxing, order tracking, mail duties as needed as well as light cleaning.

Order products and office supplies as needed per manager approval.

Maintain a clean, stocked and organized show room floor at all times.

Organize and maintain the storage area, making sure things are labeled and in their correct spot. This includes bagging, tagging and pricing products appropriately. As well as placing a GROVE MEDICAL sticker on the appropriate equipment.

High school or equivalent
