Since 1921 Douglas County Farmers Co-op has been serving the needs of agriculturists large and small throughout Southern Oregon. We are currently seeking an experienced full-time Hardware/Plumbing Sales Clerk at our Roseburg store to join our knowledgeable staff. This position requires applicant to sell hardware, plumbing, and farm merchandise to our customers, answer questions and telephone inquiries as well as provide customer service, inventory control, and recovery of shelves. Must be able to maintain a neat and tidy appearance and help keep the store neat, clean and organized.
Qualifications:
Herbicide/fungicide knowledge with weed identification and general forage knowledge.
Knowledge of vineyard and landscape supplies.
Ring up, carry out, and load hardware/farm related store merchandise.
Sell products, provide accurate product information, participate in general cleaning.
Ability to perform arithmetic calculations.
Know and use resources necessary to make proper recommendations of products sold.
Ability to learn store prices, products and services.
Be able to use a computerized point-of-sale system.
Maintain product inventory levels to assure maximum service.
Arrange merchandise stock displays and shelves.
Maintain a clean and orderly store environment.
Greet customers in a friendly manner with a smile and verbal greeting.
Ability to interact effectively with customers and co-workers.
Ability to lift, carry, move, and slide 50 lbs. frequently.
Must be reliable and punctual.
Must pass a pre-employment drug screen.

The work schedule will vary from week to week, to work 8 hours per day, 40 hours per week. We are open 7 days a week and weekend work, including Sundays, is to be expected.
