Apply now to continue digitally connecting the world and shaping the future.The RoleThe Director of Events will establish Lumen's credibility with Board members, employees, key customers, analysts, etc. They work on the overall events strategy in close coordination with executives from marketing. Planning for any given event will be done in coordination with the CEO and/or relevant SLT members. The Director of Events is responsible for Lumen's presence at trade shows, destination events, internal townhalls, internal/external streaming events, board meetings, and more.Location

This is a remote opportunity open to candidates located anywhere in the U.S.

This role will require 30% travel

The Main Responsibilities

Develop and implement a comprehensive event strategy that aligns with Lumen's goals and objectives.

Manage a portfolio of events, including: trade shows, destination events (e.g., Circle of Excellence event), internal town halls (1000+ attendees), internal and external streaming events, Board meetings, and Customer Advisory Board meetings (in-person and virtual).

Oversee the end-to-end process of event production, from ideation and budgeting to logistics and execution. Source and manage relevant 3rd-party vendors.

Coordinate with internal and external stakeholders, such as Sales, Product, Brand & Creative, Product & Solutions Marketing, Corporate Communications.

Ensure that all events are delivered on time, within scope, and within budget, while maintaining the highest standards of quality and professionalism.

Measure and report on the effectiveness and ROI of each event, using data and feedback to optimize future events.

Stay updated on the latest trends and best practices in event marketing, and identify new opportunities and platforms for event promotion.

Build and lead a high-performing team of event specialists, and provide them with guidance and support.

What We Look For in a Candidate

Bachelor's degree in marketing, communications, or related field.

At least 10 years of proven experience in event marketing, preferably in a B2B technology company, and at least 5 years of experience managing a team.

Strong knowledge and skills in event planning, production, and management, across various formats and channels.

Excellent communication, presentation, and interpersonal skills, with the ability to work effectively with diverse audiences and stakeholders.

Creative, strategic, and analytical mindset, with the ability to think outside the box and solve problems.

Detail-oriented, organized, and self-motivated, with the ability to multitask and prioritize in a fast-paced environment.

Proficient in using event management tools and software.

Willingness and ability to travel as needed, depending on the event requirements.

CompensationThe starting salary for this role differs based on the employee's primary work location.
