Description We are in search of a Purchasing Agent to join our team in Salem, New Hampshire. In this role, you will be involved in various aspects of the purchasing process, from creating and managing purchase orders to reviewing shipments. This position is set in the industry and offers a long-term contract employment opportunity.Responsibilities: Creating and managing purchase orders in accordance with company guidelines Conducting regular reviews of incoming and outgoing shipments to ensure accuracy Utilizing Accounting Software Systems for efficient and streamlined processes Executing Accounting Functions related to purchasing activities Handling Accounts Payable (AP) related to purchasing operations Overseeing and managing Budget Processes within the purchasing department Implementing effective Buying Processes to ensure optimal procurement of goods or services Tracking shipments to ensure timely delivery and receipt of ordered items Engaging with suppliers and vendors for order placements and negotiations Utilizing skills in purchase orders to ensure smooth operations within the department. Requirements Proficiency in Accounting Software Systems Understanding and experience with Accounting Functions Familiarity with Accounts Payable (AP) processes Knowledge of Budget Processes Experience with Buying Processes Ability to effectively Track Shipments Experience in creating and managing Purchase Orders Strong communication and negotiation skills Good analytical and strategic thinking abilities Attention to detail and high level of accuracy Ability to multitask and prioritize tasks Strong problem-solving skills High level of integrity and confidentiality.
