We have an exciting opportunity for a qualified full or part-time barista/cashier to join our team. Qualified candidates must possess a genuine passion for customer service, and have an unyielding compulsion to deliver an exceptional dining experience for our patrons at Ritter's. You must also be willing to learn and contribute constructively to our team.
Responsibilities will be to fully learn and understand our processes and comply with our standards for excellence. You must have a positive and professional attitude and be able to work well under stressful situations that occur during peak times. Once hired, an Oregon Food Handler's and an OLCC/OR liquor license will be required. This position will support the entire team with a positive attitude and willingness to jump in and help wherever needed while understanding your order of priorities.
General duties include handling tasks from opening to closing including but not limited to; operating our espresso counter, serving food and alcoholic beverages, operating a POS system, waiting and bussing tables, restocking supplies, general cleaning, and most importantly delivering strong customer service. You will be required to have strong physical and mental agility and endure long hours on your feet in a physically demanding environment and may be required to perform duties outside of your normal responsibilities from time to time, as needed. You must also have the ability to work well independently and as a team member. Each employee will be expected to come to work on time and with a positive attitude ready to embrace the challenges of the day.
Requirements include:
A great attitude and willingness to support the growth of the restaurant
Proficiency in crafting espresso-based beverages
Excellent customer service communication skills
Ability to accurately handle cash and work with numbers
Have a flexible schedule to include days, evenings, weekends and holidays if needed
Have current food handlers, and OLCC/ OR liquor license is a plus
