Job DescriptionLingua Franca is searching for a talented, energetic, and knowledgeable Tasting Room Associate. The ideal candidate will be hospitality-driven with attention to detail and great follow through. The expectation is that each experience will convey expertise, warmth, and a sense of luxury, and leave guests with a strong connection to Lingua Franca and our wines.This position will include weekend and some holiday hours.ResponsibilitiesWelcome guests to Lingua Franca, guide world class experiences, and provide thoughtful, relevant follow-upActively strive to reach sales and wine club sign-up goalsHelp maintain and refine all standards and steps of serviceAccurately handle purchase transactions according to winery policies and efficiently operate the Point-of-Sale systemMaintain the cleanliness of tasting spaces at all times, following COVID protocols to ensure safety and comfortUtilize tools for outreach via phone, email, textAttend tohospitalityemail inboxAttend tohospitalityphone lineMaintain guest appointment calendarMaintain stock of sales supplies and collateralAssist with in-house order fulfillment as neededAssist with special events as neededOther duties as assignedMinimum QualificationsStrong ability to provide warm hospitality and customer servicePassion for wine and dedication to learningTalent for storytellingNatural ability to communicate both in person and in writing, to individuals and groupsSelf-driven, natural instinct to look for ways to contribute and improveProfessional appearance and upbeat demeanorAbility to stand and walk for long periods of timeMust be able to lift up to 45 pounds repeatedlyOLCC permit and must be 21 years of ageMust have a valid driver’s licensePreferred Qualifications2+ years experience luxury hospitality, fine dining, or prior industry experience at a premium wineryCertifications though WSET, CMS, SWE, etcBachelor’s degreeKnowledge of the wines and appellations of the Willamette Valley, as well as Burgundy and other prominent wine regionsExperience with WineDirect POS, Admin, and FulfillmentExperience with TOCK reservation platformPhysical Requirements/Work EnvironmentAbility to stand and walk for long periods of timeMust be able to lift up to 45 pounds repeatedlyLocationSalem, OregonAdditional LocationsJob TypePart timeJob AreaHospitality & RetailThe salary range for this role is:$15.26 - $22.42This is the lowest to highest salary we in good faith believe we would pay for this role at the time of this posting. Our compensation is based on cost of labor. We may ultimately pay more or less than the posted range, and the range may be modified in the future.
