As a Team Member, you will play a vital role in ensuring excellent customer service, maintaining a clean and welcoming environment, and contributing to the success of our café. Salary starts from $15.00/hour. You can earn more depending on your work & on tips you will earn an average estimated $2.00-$3.00 per hour.
Duties
- Greet customers, take orders, and serve food and beverages in a friendly and efficient manner.
- Operate a cash register and manage transactions accurately.
- Maintain a clean and organized workspace, adhering to food safety and handling standards.
- Prepare and package food and beverages according to company recipes and guidelines.
- Provide excellent customer service by answering questions, addressing concerns, and offering recommendations.
- Assist with inventory management and restocking supplies as needed.
- Support team members during busy periods and collaborate with colleagues to achieve goals.
- Participate in ongoing training and learning opportunities to enhance skills and knowledge.
Experience
- Previous experience in the food industry, preferably in a quick service fast food restaurant or café setting.
- Familiarity with food service and handling practices.
- Experience operating a cash register and managing transactions accurately.
- Basic knowledge of retail math and sales principles.
- Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and maintain a positive attitude under pressure.
- Cross sell products and introduce new products.
- Willingness to learn and adapt to changing situations and priorities.
Skills
- Excellent communication and customer service skills.
- Ability to lift and carry items weighing up to 50 pounds.
- Knowledge of food handling and safety practices.
- Proficiency in operating a cash register and handling cash transactions.
- Basic knowledge of retail math and sales principles.
- Experience working in a grocery store or the food industry.
- Comfortable working in a fast-paced environment and maintaining a positive attitude.
- Ability to work a variety of shifts, including evenings and weekends.
