Location: Bend, OR
Schedule: Full-time, Part -time Live-In
About the Role:
We are looking for a caring and dependable live-in caregiver (21 years or older) to assist with daily care for our male residents. We want someone independent, patient, and trustworthy who will treat them with dignity and respect.
Duties include:
Prepare nutritious meals and help with feeding if necessary.
Administer medications and watch health conditions (under guidance)
Communicate with resident’s care team if conditions change.
Perform light housekeeping and help with laundry. During winter conditions, may be needed to remove snow from sidewalks and stairs.
Arrange transportation to and from appointments, community outings, and recreational activities.
Maintain a safe and clean environment.
Complete written daily and weekly progress notes.
Requirements:
21 years or older
Some caregiving experience (professional or personal).
CPR/First Aid certification (or willingness to obtain).
Must pass a criminal background check. If you have a current background check, it must be portable, otherwise another background check will be completed in Deschutes County.
Excellent communication skills and a caring demeanor.
Must be able to live on-site while working.
Valid driver’s license preferred but not needed.
Basic computer skills (Microsoft Office/Word) preferred.
Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
Must remain on site during working hours (24-hour shift).
