Direct Support Staff

Adult Foster care home seeking direct care staff. This home supports adults experiencing developmental/intellectual disabilities. We are currently seeking motivated, reliable and caring individuals to assist out residents with daily care needs.

Positions:

Mostly weekend positions available but possibly weekday could be an option. Most positions do require overnights. A typical schedule might look something like this: 40 Hour Live In: Friday 3pm through Monday 7am (Sleep time between 10pm-6am) or this Thursday-Sunday 9am-7pm These are not the actual schedules but just examples

With this position you will have a private bedroom upstairs way from residents with a full bathroom during your overnight shifts.

Duties Include:

Housekeeping, Medication Management, Direct Care and Support, Meal Preparation,

Transportation to appointments and activities, documentation, Behavioral Support (no physical interventions). There are not currently any personal hygiene support needs outside of reminders. Although we keep busy, this is not a strenuous position and does not require heavy lifting.

Experience:

Experience in the care giving or medical field preferred. All necessary trainings are scheduled and paid for by employer. Eligible applicants must have the ability to pass a criminal history check and possess a valid driver’s license. Pay varies with experience and specific shifts. All compensation will be discussed in person during time of interview.

Qualifications:

Must be over 18 and legally allowed to work in the US. Must be able to pass a criminal

background check. Must have a valid driver’s license. 2 years’ experience working with

challenging behaviors. Current CPR/First Aid and OIS required (paid training available if you do

not have these current certifications). Located in NE Salem off of Haysville
