Organization: Tandem Northwest Location: Salem, Oregon Position: Executive Director About Tandem Northwest: Tandem Northwest is a non-profit organization founded in 1996 and dedicated to providing residential services to individuals experiencing Intellectual and Developmental Disabilities (I/DD) in the Salem/Keizer area. Our goal is to empower individuals with I/DD to lead fulfilling lives by offering comprehensive residential support, supported living, fostering independence, the pursuit of a meaningful life, and promoting community integration. Position Overview: Tandem Northwest seeks a visionary and principled Executive Director who possesses integrity, character, honesty, humility, dedication, and vision. The Executive Director will serve as the primary leader, responsible for overseeing all aspects of Tandem Northwest's operations, in coordination with Westcare Management. This individual will demonstrate a collaborative leadership approach, fostering a culture of collaboration, competency, integrity, innovation, and excellence within the organization. Key Responsibilities: Provide visionary leadership and strategic direction to advance the mission of Tandem Northwest. Demonstrate unwavering integrity, honesty, and ethical conduct in all organizational activities. Cultivate a culture of trust, respect, and transparency within the organization. Lead by example, inspiring and motivating staff members to uphold the highest standards of professionalism and ethics. Collaborate effectively with staff, board members, stakeholders, and community partners, and Westcare Management to achieve common goals. Foster innovation and creativity by encouraging diverse perspectives and ideas. Develop and implement policies and procedures that promote accountability and ethical behavior. Interface with local Community Developmental Disabilities Program (CDDP) and other applicable oversight agencies to ensure compliance with regulations and quality standards. Manage quality systems to monitor and improve the delivery of residential services for individuals with I/DD. Build and maintain positive relationships with stakeholders, including clients, families, community partners, regulatory agencies. Qualifications: Bachelor's degree in a relevant field. Minimum of 5 years of leadership experience in the field of developmental disabilities services. Strong understanding of I/DD service delivery models, best practices, and regulatory requirements. Proven track record in program development and regulatory compliance. Excellent communication, interpersonal, and conflict resolution skills. Ability to inspire and motivate staff and stakeholders toward a common vision. Demonstrated commitment to diversity, equity, and inclusion. Knowledge of local community resources and networks in Salem, Oregon, is advantageous. Progressive leadership experience in the I/DD field, with direct care experience is preferred.
