A full-service farm management company founded in 1990, is looking for a mechanic with higher level of experience to work in a variety of our Oregon farm locations.

We are looking for:

One highly experienced mechanic for our farm located in Independence.

Assist company in reaching our goal in providing our growers with professional, efficient and economical farm management while utilizing environmentally sound operational practices. Always strive to exceed customer expectations through superior service, sustainable farming and stewardship of the land.

Key Functions Include:

Manage crew of 3 or more farm mechanics.

Order parts and track inventory.

Track and manage work flow.

Maintain, repair, and overhaul farm machinery and vehicles such as tractors and harvesters.

Reassemble machines and equipment following repair, testing operation and making adjustments as necessary.

Repair or replace defective parts, using hand tools, welding equipment, grinders, or saws.

Test and replace electrical components and wiring, using test meters, soldering equipment, and hand tools.

Record details of repairs made and parts used.

Perform other job duties as assigned.

Required Qualifications:

High School Diploma

Valid Driver’s License

Clean Driving Record

3-5 years of experience

2+ years of lead/supervising experience

Extensive mechanical experience

Decision making and problem-solving skills

Ability to work under pressure

Detail oriented

Preferred Qualifications:

Bilingual preferred

Experience with developing preventable maintenance plans preferred

Experience with maintenance parts inventory, tracking, and purchasing preferred

Excellent verbal and written skills

Ability to work within a team

Knowledge of farming or agricultural operations

Trade certifications or related degrees (If you are using either to meet the job qualifications, please attach either the certificate or your transcript with your application).

Physical Requirements:

While performing the responsibilities of the job, the employee is required to talk and hear. The employee is often required to sit and use their hands and fingers, to handle or feel. The employee is frequently required to stand and walk; occasionally required to reach with arms and hands, climb or balance, and to stoop, kneel, crouch or crawl. Vision abilities required by this job include close vision. The employee must regularly lift and/or move up to 10 pounds, frequently lift and/or move up to 100 pounds.

Schedule:

Monday-Friday. Occasional Saturdays.

7am-5pm. Room for overtime.

Pay:

$18-$26/hr depending on experience
