Overview
We are seeking a skilled Mechanic to join our team. Our farm is located outside of Silverton, Oregon. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in maintaining and repairing various types of machinery, including industrial equipment, farm machinery, and tractor-trailers. This role requires a commitment to delivering high-quality service while ensuring safety and efficiency in all operations. We provide all tools for the job.
Duties
Perform routine maintenance and repairs on industrial equipment and farm machinery.
Diagnose mechanical issues using appropriate tools and techniques.
Fabricate parts as needed to ensure optimal machine performance.
Operate forklifts safely to move materials and equipment within the facility.
Provide exceptional customer service by addressing client concerns and inquiries effectively.
Collaborate with team members to maintain a clean and organized workspace.
Requirements
Proven experience as a Mechanic, preferably with expertise in hydraulics and heavy machinery.
Familiarity with forklift operation is highly desirable.
Strong problem-solving skills with the ability to troubleshoot mechanical issues efficiently.
Have a CLD or farm endorsement.
Experience in customer service is a plus, ensuring positive interactions with clients.
Ability to perform heavy lifting and physically demanding tasks as required by the job.
Knowledge of tire service practices is beneficial for this role.
A valid driver's license may be required for certain positions.
Able to work long hours during the summer.
Join us in delivering top-notch mechanical services while working in a dynamic environment that values skill development and teamwork. Work schedule is Monday through Friday. Summer hours may be Saturday and Sunday ( we try not to work on Sundays).
Job Type: Full-time
Pay: $20.00 - $30.00 per hour
Expected hours: 20 – 100 per week
