Job Opportunity: Outdoor Yard/ Forklift Operator
Our client based in Woodburn is seeking an Outdoor Yard/Forklift Operator. This role involves utilizing a forklift to lift, load, or relocate materials, as well as operating a chainsaw for necessary cutting tasks. Additionally, the operator is responsible for inspecting and maintaining both the forklift and chainsaw equipment as required.
Responsibilities:
Perform yard clean up, product receiving, breakdown, and handling duties
Operate yard equipment such as saws or tugs after proper training and certification
Collect recyclable materials and store them as instructed
Sweep the yard using a mechanical sweeper if available
Review inventory levels with the Supervisor to ensure adequate supply
Report any maintenance or safety issues to the Supervisor
Manually stack lumber products according to instructions
Operate a gas-powered tug to move lumber products if necessary
Package materials and keep the packaging area clean and organized
Use a saw to cut lumber lengths as needed, if properly trained
Keep inventory of stickers, corners, and wrap
Requirements:
Forklift experience
Schedule:
Monday – Friday 7 AM – 4 PM
Pay:
$20 /hr DOE
