We are hiring for The Pressing Area Technician is a non-exempt employee who will assist technical personnel in the
preparation of products for pressing. The incumbent will operate presses and convey intermediate and
by-products to holding areas. Tasks will be accomplished through the Area Technician is also
responsible for proper sanitation and storage of processing equipment.
Employee Responsibilities:
Assist technical personnel in equipment operation during production.
Move press cages between press areas during operation.
Clean equipment and reusable elements such as filters between production runs.
Direct product waste to appropriate disposal equipment with the use of automated equipment.
Operate Press Feed and powered lift equipment from elevated control panels.
Monitor and adjust temperature of product storage tanks with the use of manual and electronic
systems.
Comply with all plant operational and safety rules.
Reports needed repairs or problems to lead person or manager.
Hold all matters related to the corporation in confidence.
Perform other duties as assigned.
Required Skills/Abilities:
One year experience in an automated industrial food manufacturing setting in a position involving
intermediate food processing and sanitation of equipment is desired.
Able to read and comprehend instructions, informational manuals, able to write and verbally communicate
process reports to the supervisor and coworkers.
Able to work in flexible scheduling including hours of the day and days of the week.
Able to perform mathematical calculations for addition, subtraction, multiply and divide fractions correctly.
Able to freely access all areas of the production facility including work platforms, mezzanines, access
panels, and close working quarters.
Able to tolerate exposure to odors and product without adverse reaction.
Able to stand as needed up to 10 hours per day.
Able to work productively in a multi-cultural environment and communicate effectively with supervisory
and technical staff.
