We have an exciting opportunity! Local building material manufacturer is currently hiring for a Batch Maker. This is a great opportunity to join a local company where you will be able to grow into a rewarding career.
This company manufactures sealants for flooring, roofs, etc. The Batch Maker responsible for preparing batches, which includes measuring and weighing chemicals, to ensure batches meet required specs. The Batch Maker operates pneumatic pumps, hydraulic equipment and drives forklift.
This is a physically demanding position; the employee is required to lift and/or push and pull up to 100 lbs. The employee will constantly be moving around, walking, and getting off and onto the forklift, all while working in varying temperatures. The employee will also be exposed to varying noise levels, fumes, odors, dust and/or gases. PPE equipment is provided, and is required.
We are looking for someone with a minimum of 1 year forklift experience, as well as previous warehouse experience. Previous experience working with mixing chemicals, and/or creating batches while following a formula, is a plus.
Requirements:
→ Forklift experience
→ Warehouse experience
→ Excellent math skills
→ Able to perform physical duties
→ Able to lift, push and pull up to 100 lbs.
→ Comfortable working with and around large machinery
→ Willing to learn, open to constructive criticism
→ Good communication skills
