Local Salem Manufacturing Company, with its own product line, has on immediate opening for a purchasing assistant. Primary duties will be Shipping and Receiving and ‘Parts Running’.
Duties will include, but not be limited to;
-Receiving all incoming shipments and verifying items match corresponding Purchase Orders
-Preparing outgoing orders for shipment to customers
-Transporting parts, equipment and components to and from local vendors
-Moving various components throughout the facility to required location
Candidate must have a good driving record to be able to be added to the company insurance policy to drive company vehicles as the parts runner.
Must be able to lift 70 pounds occasionally during the course of the work day.
The ability to work with a variety of other company personnel on several levels will be necessary.
This is a permanent full time in-house position requiring good attendance.
CDL is NOT required.
