JOB TITLE: SHEET METAL FABRICATOR ASSISTANT
DESCRIPTION
Sheet Metal Fabricators and Fabricator Assistants are responsible for the production and flow of sheet metal jobs on the shop floor. As a Fabricator Assistant, you are required to take direction from the Production Supervisor, read prints, follow job/customer requirements, meet deadlines, and produce parts accurately, efficiently, and safely.
Manufacturing experience is preferred but not required. This is a physical and fast-paced job that requires constant bending, reaching, twisting, and lifting on the manufacturing floor, which has a number of loud machines and running tools.
ESSENTIAL DAILY RESPONSIBILITIES
Operate various production equipment: CNC Punch Press, Press Brake, Hardware Insertion, Sanders, & various hand tools
Shear incoming material to the required job size
Quality Assurance at various stages of production - Verifying and validating parts are correct to begin processing
Follow work instructions
Stacking and organizing finished parts per instructions to avoid damage
Labelling parts
Packaging parts to be delivered to the customer
JOB REQUIREMENTS
High school diploma or GED preferred
Driver’s license (Current)
Basic math skills
Ability to lift 35lbs frequently and up to 50lbs occasionally
Previous fabrication or manufacturing experience is a bonus
Good communication skills – both verbal and written
Courteous and professional demeanor

POSITION TYPE
Full-time employment – Work hours are Monday - Friday from 7:00 am to 3:30 pm.
Compensation: $17.00-$22.00 / hour starting (DOE), 90-day review, and annual performance review with comp adjustments.
Overtime ($25.50-$33.00/hr.) available as needed
