As a member of the Shipping Department, the ideal candidate is an organized and collaborative worker who can maintain a meticulous attention to detail while meeting cut-offs and deadlines. The Shipping and Receiving Coordinator aids the company mission by quickly prioritizing work, accurately fulfilling customer orders and maintaining or exceeding our service level commitments.
RESPONSIBILITIES:
Package all products for shipment to customers.
Verify the items in each order and package them for shipment.
Inter-campus shipment of samples.
Generate shipping labels, BOLs, and packing slips.
Sort packages into the proper area for shipping.
Answer calls regarding shipping inquiries and communicate with shipping carriers (FedEx,
UPS, etc.) or Customer Service department.
Check truck drivers in and out of dock.
Update inventory tracking system.
Help process returns.
Sort and record deliveries of supplies and materials.
Maintain a safe and sanitary work area.
REQUIREMENTS:
English/Spanish bilingual
Microsoft office and computer proficiency
Commitment to detail and accuracy
Ability to accurately perform basic arithmetic calculations
Capable of problem solving in an environment with evolving priorities and deadlines
PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS:
Ability to load and unload boxes weighing 50lbs
Ability to withstand extended periods of time in a refrigerated setting
PREFERRED:
Experience working with a team in a fast-paced environment
Forklift operation experience
Valid Driver’s License
Highschool diploma or equivalent
