Position Summary:

The Accounting Technician provides essential administrative and financial support to Campus Dining. This position is responsible for performing bookkeeping functions including recording, examining, and reconciling expenditure and revenue transactions to ensure accuracy and accountability in compliance with university policies, statutory requirements, and standard accounting principles. Additional responsibilities include clerical support, cash handling, purchasing, and managing accounts payable and receivable activities.

Required Qualifications: Please ensure your application materials clearly demonstrate how you meet the following:

● Associate degree (A.A., A.S.) or a two-year technical certificate including at least 12 quarter hours (8 semester hours) of Accounting courses; OR An Associate degree in Accounting; OROne year of experience in duties involving the entry, compilation, and/or reporting of financial information;

OR An equivalent combination of education and experience.

○ Note: Transcripts must be submitted for all required and/or related coursework. All coursework must be completed at accredited colleges, universities, or private vocational schools.

● 1-2 years of Cashier Experience

● 1-2 years of Bookkeeping/Accounting

● Strong communication skills

● Demonstrated critical thinking abilities

● Effective problem-solving skills

● High attention to detail

● Excellent time management skills
