Job Title: Electronics Technician
Pay Rate: $16/hr
Hours: Full Time, 40 hours per week
Schedule: Monday - Friday, 7 am - 3:30 pm
Location: Salem,OR

General Position Summary:
This is a full-time opportunity with one of DPI Staffing’s partner clients. The Electronics Technician will be responsible for assembling, disassembling, testing, and refurbishing computer systems and electronic components. This position plays a vital role in ensuring refurbished products are safe, functional, and ready for resale. All work must be documented accurately, and final testing is required on completed units.
Essential Functions/Major Responsibilities:
-Disassemble computer systems and electronic components.
-Conduct diagnostic tests to determine usability.
-Make repairs and refurbishments, including erasing hard drive data.
-Maintain accurate documentation of all work performed.
-Consult with IT staff on technical issues when needed.
Secondary Functions:
-Provide training as needed.
-Provide input on creating employment opportunities for individuals with disabilities.
-Attend meetings and participate in committees as assigned.
Job Scope:
Operates independently with minimal direction. Makes decisions within company guidelines, contributing to operational planning and budget recommendations.
Specific Job Skills Required:
-Strong interpersonal, communication, and customer service skills.
-Excellent time management and organization.
-Proficiency in computer systems, data entry, and basic troubleshooting.
-Ability to lift up to 40 pounds and operate a pallet jack or cart when needed.
-Education and/or Experience Required:
-High school diploma or equivalent.
-Minimum 1-2 years of related experience, preferably in a production setting.
-A 2-year degree in computer science or related field OR equivalent combination of education and experience.
