Equipment Paint Prep and Fiberglass Part Fitting
Local Salem Manufacturing Company, with its own product line, has on immediate opening for a permanent equipment paint helper and fiberglass molded part fitter.
Primary duties will be working with current staff and painter to prepare fabricated parts for the finish operations. This will include, but not be limited to, using grinders and sanders, applying sealant to exposed seams and chemically wiping the parts in preparation for paint. May involve some painting in support of current painter.
In addition to the equipment paint preparation, applicant will NEED to be familiar with fiberglass sanding and grinding to fit parts to fabricated frame work will be required for this position. This portion will be responsible for about a quarter of the total time worked. Typically, about one week a month or a couple weeks every couple month depending on the projects in production.
Applicant must be capable of working independently using fixtures, instruction and prints while holding the required tolerances without immediate supervision.
THIS IS NOT A COMMERCIAL OR RESIDENTIAL PAINTING POSITION. THE PAINTING INVOLVED IS EQUIPMENT/MACHINERY.
EXPERIENCE WITH MOLDED FIBERGLASS PARTS IS REQUIRED.
The current opening is for a permanent in-house full-time position.
Pay will be competitive, with full benefits, DOE.
