Furniture Medic by Slater, Inc. is accepting applications for candidates to join their experienced team. We are specialists in the restoration industry focusing on furniture and cabinet restoration. Having served the Salem/Portland area for over 10 years, we are an established company that is expanding to maintain our customers' demand.
About Job
Key Responsibilities But Not Limited To:
· Performing structural and precision (touch up) repairs on a variety of products including furniture, cabinets and millwork.
· Refinishing furniture and cabinets
· Maintaining a safe work environment
· Maintaining tools and products
·Prepared to learn how to touch up and fix a variety of issues relating to wood furniture, including filling veneers, touching up scratches, refinishing wood surfaces (stain or paint) and structural repairs.
Skills & Qualifications
· Personable, and enjoys working with customers and coworkers
· Good communication and basic computer skills (can train computer skills as necessary)
· Artistic abilities/qualities (including, but not limited to: a sharp eye for color and good hand/eye-coordination)
· Adaptable to a fluid work environment (Many different projects come to our shop)
· Must have a valid driver's license with minimum 2 years of driving experience and a clean driving record that is insurable.
This position is not the end of your career at Furniture Medic. There is plenty of room for advancement with proper application of your skills.
