A long-standing Oregon locksmith business is seeking a dedicated trainee to join the team and become the primary technician over time. This is a rare opportunity to learn a respected trade directly from an experienced locksmith, with substantial future potential including profit sharing or eventual ownership.
ABOUT THE ROLE
This is not a standard job. Locksmithing requires flexibility, reliability, and the ability to respond to emergency calls at any hour. Training includes hands-on instruction and ride-alongs until you are confident handling calls independently. Once trained, you will take on your own calls as the primary field tech.
REQUIREMENTS
Flexible availability (on-call days, nights, weekends, holidays)
Entrepreneurial mindset and long-term interest in the trade
Valid driver’s license and reliable transportation
Ability to pass a background check
Independent Contractor status (responsible for filing your own taxes, mileage, etc.)
Must purchase your own tools (discount option available through owner)
Professional appearance and communication skills
Must be physically capable of lifting 40–50 lbs, kneeling, climbing, and working in various weather conditions
