NW Employment is partnered with a local Metals company in Clackamas, and we are looking to add Welder/Fabricators to join our team!
Shift- Mon-Thur 6a-430p
Pay- $30-$32 DOE
The Fabricator position is responsible for welding / fabricating diverse products following customer specification and blueprint drawings. This position requires dependable work habits and teamwork. Attention to detail and meeting quality standards are essential. We look for adaptability, service-orientation and effective teamwork as well as the technical requirements of the job.
There are two levels in this job: Level two demonstrates competency in all category of skills. Level one is still learning the competencies. Fabricator Competency sets include: MCAW, FCAW, robot welder, twin, beveling, stick, TIG, visual weld, fixturing, fabrication and the general competencies of: print reading, math, oxy-ace., plasma, grinding, material handling and painting.
FUNCTIONAL RESPONSIBILITIES:
1. Productivity & Throughput
Demonstrate a sense of urgency in completing work
Follow procedures for machine operation, quality, safety, and workflow.
Complete jobs within time allotted or in less time
Follow standard procedures using checklist and gauge system
Convey overlooked information and record it
2. Produce Quality Product
Check output against specifications before handing it off to the next person / shift
Record daily productivity and defects
Check incoming materials against specifications
Consistently produce quality work
3. Technical Skills (use Technical Skills Analysis Grid)
Highly skilled in functions assigned
Demonstrates proficiency in multiple skill areas
4. Organization Skills
Create and work through a plan for the day even though it may change
Keep the work area clean and hazard free
