Aston Carter is partnered with a local manufacturing company that is seeking an experienced Accounting Manager to join their team. The successful candidate will oversee all financial and accounting operations, preparing and maintaining financial records to track the organization’s assets, liabilities, profit and loss, and other related financial activities.What You Will Be Doing: Perform general ledger reconciliation and ensure proper classification of expenses and revenues, including complex and intercompany accounts. Prepare monthly balance sheets, income statements, and profit and loss statements. Reconcile bank accounts daily, verify deposits, and address inquiries from banks. Manage accounts receivable collections and process accounts receivable. Verify and complete payment of invoices associated with accounts payable and ensure payments are charged to the appropriate accounts. Prepare and file timely FET and state tax filings. Manage and maintain accurate files in support of Accounting Manager functional responsibilities. Support month-end process and closing of the books. Prepare for and work with external CPAs as needed. Maintain knowledge of acceptable accounting practices and procedures. Stay updated on accounting regulations and best practices to ensure compliance. Establish and maintain internal controls and guidelines for accounting transactions and budget preparation.What You Need: Minimum of 3 years of experience as an Accounting Manager - 5 years experience without degree. Experience with accounting software and databases Proficient with Microsoft Office Suite or similar software.
