Train Molding Technicians to improve technical capabilities and experience.
Track downtime, quality performance and machine efficiency.
Troubleshoot machine issues and develop corrective actions to these issues.
System design on the machines and equipment with the Production and Maintenance Managers to improve machine lay-outs, tooling upgrades, ergonomic and safety improvements.
Order spare parts and necessary equipment for machines.
Follows applicable ISO, Food Safety, and cGMP polices.
Supports and investigates situations in which line/equipment stoppage occurs due to perceived, imminent safety risk.
Organizes and leads employee driven teams to address scrap, quality, safety or other production related issues.
Looks for opportunities to improve processes and output utilizing MEEF and EFF reports and other reports as appropriate; presents improvement to Production Manager for review and approval; organizes and leads teams as needed to review and implement process improvements.
Completes responsibilities in accordance with the organization's policies and procedures, and applicable laws
Coordinate with Quality and Maintenance personnel concerning machine operations and any malfunctions
Employee may be required to work various shifts other than primary shift in order to perform job duties.
Qualifications
High School Diploma, GED or equivalent preferred.
2-4-year college or technical degree preferred.
2-4-year experience in an Manufacturing environment
Must have good mechanical aptitude
Knowledge of injection molding machinery and processes preferred
Ability to organize and prioritize work activities for self, and to handle multiple projects simultaneously
Ability to utilize a variety of computer software (Microsoft products preferred)
Excellent communication, investigation, coaching and mentoring experience
Six Sigma training preferred
Be able to sit and stand for long periods of time.
Be able to lift up to 50 pounds, bend and reach to perform necessary job functions.
Previous skills in operation of forklift, overhead crane, scissor lift and pallet jack.
