Job Title: Graphic Designer I Pay & FSLA Status: Competitive Compensation, D.O.E., Hourly non-exempt Regular Schedule & Shift: Monday - Friday, Day shift Regular Weekly Hours: Full-time/40 hours per week (overtime as needed) Paid Time Off (PTO): 80 hours accrued year 1; 120 hours accrued annually after year 1 Paid Sick Time: 40 hours annually Management Position: No Branch Location: Corporate office in Wilsonville, OR; Hybrid flexible POSITION SUMMARY: The Graphic Designer I works within a team of marketing creatives to develop compelling, effective designs in the promotion of a wide range of building material products and services. This position works on everything from apparel to brochures to vehicle wraps, learning and growing within a dynamic and growing business with strong core values. ESSENTIAL DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES:

Create visual designs for a variety of mediums, including print literature, web pages, digital artwork, signs, banners, and posters, while upholding brand standards and a high quality of work.

Collaborate with and collect feedback from teammates, supplier partners, and peers to develop campaign concepts in support of a wide variety of business and sales initiatives.

Support salespeople, managers, and product management personnel with questions and requests for marketing materials using a ticketing system.

Learn and maintain a working knowledge of OrePac’s products, services, customers, and business to apply to specific design and creative assignments.

Manage a library of design assets through the use, creation, and sharing of a consistent file structure.

Place and manage orders for print materials and related merchandise.

REQUIRED SKILLS:

Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook, etc.).

Proficiency in Adobe applications (InDesign, Photoshop, Illustrator, etc.).

Demonstrated talent (up-to-date portfolio that showcases a variety of clean and engaging design work).

Solid understanding of marketing principles, graphic design, typography and composition principles.

Knowledge of and experience with content management systems such as Wordpress, Wix, or HubSpot CMS and best practices, preferred (but not required).

Strong project management and time management skills, with the ability to work in a fast-paced, team-oriented environment, prioritize tasks, and meet deadlines.

Ability to work independently with moderate supervision.

Strong customer service orientation and high level of attention to detail.

Commitment to and demonstration of high ethical standards governing professional behavior and interactions.

Knowledge base in building materials is a plus.

Ability to read and interpret documents such as safety rules, operating and maintenance instructions, and procedure manuals.

Ability to write routine reports and correspondence. Strong written and verbal communication skills.

Ability to make decisions that are in line with OrePac standards.

Demonstrated capability to develop strong interpersonal working relationships and work in a team environment.

REQUIRED EDUCATION & EXPERIENCE:

Bachelor’s degree in graphic design or a related field.

2 or more years of professional, relevant experience in graphic design using Adobe InDesign, Photoshop, and/or Illustrator.

Up-to-date portfolio showcasing a variety of previous work.

Photography and photo editing experience, preferred (but not required).

Experience designing product displays or merchandising aides, preferred (but not required).

Any combination of education, training, or experience that demonstrates the ability to perform the duties of the position will be accepted in place of the education and/or experience requirements listed for this role.

PHYSICAL DEMANDS:

Regularly required to see, talk, and hear. Specific vision abilities required by this job include close vision, the ability to adjust focus, and peripheral vision.

Ability to lift files, open filing cabinets, and bend or stand on a stool as necessary.

WORK ENVIRONMENT:

The noise level in the work environment is generally quiet.

This position operates in a professional office environment.

This position routinely uses standard office equipment such as laptop computers, photocopiers, and smartphones.

Comply with company drug testing policies and procedures.

Comply with company Personal Protective Equipment (PPE) policies. OrePac will provide required PPE to employees.
