The Laboratory Technician I, using general laboratory methods, techniques, equipment, and instrumentation in compliance with Eurofins Environment Testing America’s Quality Assurance programs and standard operating
procedures, supports laboratory operations through general maintenance of laboratory and supply storage areas, equipment, instruments, and supplies.Essential Duties and Responsibilities:Set up and analyze microbiology samples including potable water, non-potable water, and soilSet up and analyze inorganic potable and non-potable water samplesUnderstand and interpret Oregon Health Authority rules and regulationsAssist clients in person, by email, and over the phoneReceive, log, and process client samplesMaintain the laboratory in clean and excellent working orderMaintain laboratory supply inventory, perform QC checks, and prepare Certificates of    AnalysisPrepare reagents or media for compliance and environmental testingPerform monthly environmental monitoringMaintain the laboratory filing systemDocument laboratory functions in logbooks and computer systemsPerform proficiency testing for Oregon's Environmental Laboratory Accreditation ProgramAssist manager with tasks independently as neededAnalyze samples on weekends when requiredPrepares and ships samples, bottle orders, and other items to clients and/or laboratoriesPerforms other duties as assigned
