We are looking for PA-certified teachers (grades 1 through 12) to tutor students in reading, math, critical thinking, and to provide homework support.
Responsibilities
After-school tutoring and homework support for one-on-one and/or small group, one-hour sessions, Monday through Saturday.
The center provides all lesson plans and materials.
No computers or software. All lessons are traditional paper and pencil.
Assist students in understanding concepts and improving their academic performance.
Create a conducive, quiet learning environment.
Communicate with the director, parents, or guardians regarding student progress.
Evaluate student performance and adapt teaching strategies accordingly.
Requirements
Experience working with students in an educational setting.
PA teaching certification is required for grades and subjects.
All background checks and clearances must be current.
