Claims Specialist

Description We are offering a contract to hire employment opportunity for a Claims Specialist in Allentown, Pennsylvania, United States. This role is primarily involved in the handling and processing of customer property damage claims that may arise from the operations or provision of electric service. The chosen candidate will ensure the accurate, timely processing of claims in compliance with state regulations and company policies and will also be responsible for customer inquiries.Responsibilities: Accurately process and handle customer property damage claims Ensure compliance with state regulations and company policies during claim processing Analyze claimants' documentation and determine the appropriateness of losses to be paid Oversee the claim process from initial receipt through to final determination and notification to the claimant Maintain tracking records of all processed claims, both accepted and denied Ensure the confidentiality of claim decisions and associated rationale is maintained Provide high-quality customer service in response to inquiries and escalated calls Route escalated calls to appropriate work groups when necessary Perform other duties and projects as assigned.For immediate consideration please apply directly to job posting or call 610-882-1600Requirements Demonstrated proficiency in Customer Service, emphasizing on providing exemplary service to clients in a timely and respectful manner Proficient in Documentation, ensuring all documents are accurate, complete and maintained as per company's policy Strong skills in Microsoft Office Suites, specifically Microsoft Excel and Microsoft Word, to effectively manage and organize data Experience in Operations, including planning, quality control, and process improvement Knowledge of 'About Time' software for efficient project management Experience in Claim Administration, specifically property claim, with an emphasis on efficiently managing and settling claims Strong commitment to Confidentiality, ensuring all client information is secured and privacy is maintained Ability to Ensure Compliance with local regulations and company policies Proficiency in managing Settlements, specifically in the context of property claims Understanding of Liability issues related to property damage claims Excellent Written Communication skills for clear and effective correspondence Familiarity with Local Regulation related to property damage and claim settlements.
