Perform moderately complex tasks and audit payroll records and reports. Respond to inquires from all levels of leaders and colleagues and interpret statutory regulations. Processing of payroll data inclusive of time entry, retroactive payment calculations, overtime calculations, wage deductions related to garnishments and payroll adjustments to ensure proper payment to colleagues. Prepare and publish reports from payroll. Works closely with department leaders to resolve all payroll issues regarding colleagues pay and payroll reports. Comply with current payroll practices and payroll accounting practices.Job Duties

Provides necessary reports from the Payroll system including Audit Payroll reports.

Analyzes, prepares, and maintains data in Payroll/HRIS such as deductions tax changes, garnishments, and direct deposits.

Provides assistance and follow-up to employees and managers relating to pay policies, human resource policies, procedures, and documentation.

Analyzes payroll corrections submitted by managers to correctly pay employees.

Analyzes Personnel Actions for accuracy to ensure employees are paid correctly.

Processes Earnings Distribution splits, checks, retroactive payments for salary increases, and special pay requests.

Provides accurate information to various agencies concerning employee wage verification requests and Workers Compensation forms.

Provides assistance and follow-up to employees and managers related to human resource policies.

Reviews audit reports for employees and timecard entries for shift, new hire, and termination reports ensuring employees are paid for correct hours.

Reviews time records and ensures pay policies are applied and takes corrective actions to resolve errors and issues with managers and Human Resources.

Minimum Qualifications

High School Diploma/GED

1 year of experience in payroll.

Strong analytical skills

Effective verbal and written communication skills

Strong math and organizational skills

Preferred Qualifications

Proficiency with Excel and other Microsoft Office applications, Lawson knowledge.
