  • Conduct an in-depth analysis to identify operational needs and gaps that the new software solution aims to address.  Evaluate potential software options for their ability to meet these needs while ensuring compatibility with data security and privacy regulations, including IRS Publication 1075. Engage with internal stakeholders from various departments (e.g., IT, finance, human resources) to gather requirements and ensure the software solution meets a wide range of needs. Consult with legal and compliance teams to ensure the selected software complies with relevant federal and state regulations, including those related to the handling of sensitive information. Develop a plan to ensure that the software implementation and operation are in strict compliance with IRS Publication 1075 and other applicable regulations, focusing on data security measures such as encryption and access control.
