Job Description Summary
The Dock Clerk primary responsibility is the processing of outbound orders in the Warehouse Management System: Confirming orders, allocation, waving, trailer dock assignments, and generating shipping bills. The Dock Clerk reports directly to the Sr. Warehouse Operations Manager.
Duties & Responsibilities
Accurately receive and confirm all customer orders
Communicate directly back to Divisional Administrator on any order errors or concerns
Track and report inventory shortages and needed substitutions to the Purchasing group
Monitor orders as they are being picked
Generate pick-tickets, separate, and collate
Print Bill of Landing (BOL) as needed Communicate trailer dock assignments to the warehouse floor
Complete express shipping requests
Provide coverage and support to warehouse and inventory teamsPerform all other duties as assigned
Assist Warehouse Management on special projects and processes
Track info for KPIs monthly reports for Shipping and Inventory This job posting describes the general duties and responsibilities for the position. Other duties not listed may be assigned by senior management
Qualifications
High School Diploma or GED
Strong interpersonal skills and a professional personal presentation are required, in a fast paced environment
Experience Shipping and/or Receiving using a Warehouse Management System; Accellos experience a plus
Ability to perform computer word processing, presentations/graphic proficiency and spreadsheet skills are required (Microsoft Word, Excel & PowerPoint)
Basic math skills required and must be capable of calculations on calculator and computer
Dock clerk or warehouse lead experience is a plus
