About the Position:
As a server and or bartender, the employee should be comfortable working in a fast-paced environment and have incredible work ethic and attention to detail. While our servers should have experience in full-service restaurants, most importantly we are looking for people who have an amazing attitude, know how to have fun while still working hard and want to join an awesome team of restaurant professionals. S/he will ensure legal age limits for all alcohol consumption and will learn to properly serve craft beer, wine, and our craft cocktails.
Our ideal candidates will possess:
Positive attitude with a desire to learn and grow
Previous experience and training in a upscale dining atmosphere
Strong food knowledge and a desire to learn as much as possible about advanced techniques, producers and suppliers
Passion for beer/wine/craft cocktail knowledge. Comfortable describing beer/wine/craft cocktails to guests, learning about new beers, wines, pairings with food and proper beer/wine/craft cocktail service techniques
Spirits knowledge and desire to learn more
Ability to deliver an upscale dining experience in a lively neighborhood restaurant
Will not take shortcuts and inspires others to be better
Desire to grow in our company
Must obtain RAMP certification within 6 months of hire
Cicerone© Certification Program and/or The Court of Master Sommeliers training/certifications are a plus
Essential Job Functions:
Serves beverages and food to guests in a friendly, courteous, and timely manner, resulting in guest satisfaction.
Properly stores all beverages, food, and other equipment items.
Must adhere to all State and Federal liquor regulations pertaining to serving alcoholic beverages to minors and intoxicated guests to ensure all laws are being followed.
Experience and Education:
High school education (or equivalent) required
At least one year food & beverage experience preferred
Experience with MICROS POS systems preferred
At least one year of customer service experience required
Must be 18 years of age to serve alcoholic beverages
Must have flexible schedule and be able to work weekdays, weeknights, Saturdays (closed Sundays), and some holidays (including Mother's Day)
