This client has become the nation's leader in compliance inspection and testing solutions for underground storage tanks (UST's), line, containment, and vapor recovery system owner. Must Haves: Mechanical Aptitude Experience with hand tools Open to Travel The role is an entry-level position where candidates will be doing service/maintenance work on fuel stations nationwide, calibrating the pumps, meters, and digital boards. Major responsibilities will include prepping the site for testing, setting up testing and safety equipment, removal of manhole lids for underground storage tank access and driving a DOT regulated commercial motor vehicle. Eventually working toward advancement within the company to become a foreman and managing a work crew. Field service techs will travel all across the region servicing the gas stations. All the travel is paid for on an hourly rate the minute you get into the vehicle so it is easy to get 10-12 hours sometimes up to 14 hours a days based on travel time. - Overnights will sometimes be involved up to 1-5 days per week. Most of the time you will be home after every day but must be open to 1 week out of the month staying overnight. The company pays for the hotel and you will receive $50 per day for food expenses (per diem) for the overnight stays. The pay starts at $13/hr, increases to $13.50-$14.00/hr after 3 months and $15/hr after 6 months, based on progression. There is a guaranteed yearly salary of $41,500 due to the average hours you work because that could be anywhere from 50-70 hours per week. Most of the time, employees make well over $41,500 in the year with the hours. About 1/3 of those hours is travel time. Most Aerotek employees working there now are getting anywhere from $700-$1000 a week after taxes. Company goal is for entry-level field techs to become Foreman within a year and to be compensated more with that.
