We are seeking a motivated and detail oriented Custom Sign Mechanic I to join our production team.ESSENTIAL DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES:Reading and interpreting technical drawings, blueprints, and specifications for sign fabrication.Cutting, shaping, and preparing sign materials such as metal, acrylic, and plastic using hand tools and machinery.Operating basic fabrication equipment including saws, routers, and drill presses.Assembling sign components according to design specifications, ensuring accuracy and quality.Ensuring adherence to production schedules and deadlines.Maintaining a clean and organized work area.Assisting with inventory management and stock replenishment.QUALIFICATIONS/REQUIREMENTS:High School Diploma or Equivalent.1-3 years of experience in Sign Fabrication or a related field.Proficiency using fabrication tools and equipment.Basic understanding of materials and fabrication techniques.Strong attention to detail and quality standards.Ability to work effectively in a team environment.Must be mechanically inclined and able to use hand tools, power tools, and heavy equipment.Prefer current and unrestricted driver's license with a clean driving record.Must have the ability to lift and maneuver heavy materials throughout the shop and adjacent outside areas.PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTSWhile performing the duties of this job, the employee is regularly required to stand; walk; work with their hands handle, or feel, whether directly manipulating components or using controls on an assembly machine. Employee must be able to talk or hear over shop noise. Employee must be able to stand for extended periods of time at worktables. The employee is occasionally required to reach with hands and arms; climb or balance; and stoop, kneel, crouch, or crawl. The employee must regularly lift and/or move 50 to 75 pounds and move it for at least 50 feet.
