Job description

Open position for an experienced and motivated auto mechanic/tech at a popular, busy independent shop on the West End of Allentown. We perform all levels of mechanical service on all makes and models, from routine maintenance to complex diagnostics and repairs. The shop is well equipped and modern, and operates Monday through Friday, no weekends or evenings. We offer hourly pay w/overtime, paid holidays, paid vacation, healthcare benefits, uniforms, and a matched retirement plan. Candidate must be willing to work in a team environment and have strong communication skills. The position is for a tech with strong experience in mechanical repairs such as brakes, suspension, engine mechanical diagnostics and repair, and electrical diagnostics and repair. Sufficient professional grade tools are required. The shop provides diagnostic equipment and special service tools. The tech must be willing to perform all services from oil changes, tires, and inspections, and have the ability to diagnose drivability concerns. Our technicians perform duties such as estimating work, ordering parts, and communicating with customers. Wage opportunities are negotiated based on level of experience. Note, PA Safety and Emissions licenses are both required as well as a current driver's license with a clean record.

Automotive Technician/ Mechanic Responsibilities:

- Perform light maintenance services on customer vehicles.

- Perform vehicle inspections and advise on any needed additional maintenance or repairs.

- Read and follow the guidelines as stated on the repair order.

- Keep the Service Advisor updated on the progress of the vehicle.

- Work together and communicate with team members to optimize efficiency.

- Work closely with team members to ensure 100% accuracy and customer satisfaction.

- Keep an open mind and communicate ideas for improvement of the efficiency in our processes.

Automotive Technician/ Mechanic Qualifications:

- Clean driving record

- PA Inspection and Emissions Licenses a plus

- Prior Automotive experience preferred but not required
