Position Summary
We are seeking an experienced Facility Maintenance Technician (FMT) to maintain, repair, and improve our manufacturing facility and production equipment. This role is hands-on and vital to ensuring maximum uptime, safety, and efficiency within our operation. The ideal candidate will have strong mechanical, electrical, and technical skills, combined with a proactive approach to preventive maintenance and problem-solving.
Key Responsibilities
Perform preventive, predictive, and corrective maintenance on production equipment and facility systems.
Troubleshoot and repair CNC routers, edge banders, sanders, dust collection systems, compressors, and finishing equipment.
Maintain and repair electrical, mechanical, pneumatic, and HVAC systems.
Plan and schedule facility maintenance projects with minimal disruption to operations.
Manage maintenance logs, equipment histories, and work orders using a CMMS system.
Oversee and coordinate outside contractors and service vendors.
Maintain fleet vehicle safety and service schedules.
Conduct facility inspections, ensure compliance with OSHA and safety standards, and assist with corrective actions.
Respond promptly to emergencies, including system failures or severe weather events.
Support training and continuous improvement initiatives to enhance equipment reliability.
Qualifications
5+ years of maintenance experience in a manufacturing or woodworking environment.
Strong knowledge of mechanical, electrical, pneumatic, and hydraulic systems.
Familiarity with PLC systems and CNC equipment preferred.
Ability to read and interpret blueprints, schematics, and manuals.
Working knowledge of OSHA and building code compliance.
High school diploma or GED required; technical or associate degree preferred.
Certifications such as EPA Universal (HVAC), OSHA 30, LOTO, or Forklift a plus.
