A National Federal Contractor, is seeking a Construction Manager (CM)/Site Superintendent to join our team for a program in the Twinsburg, Ohio area. The selected candidate will provide technical expertise in coordinating all field activities related to the project. Applicants will have experience in developing crews, monitoring progress, and ensuring projects stay on schedule and within allotted time and cost budgets.
Responsibilities:
Oversee all construction to ensure the project is completed on time, within budget and in full compliance with safety, quality, and environmental regulations per the contract.
Lead and manage construction activities, quality control, and coordination amongst contractors, field personnel, engineering teams, and operations.
Manage contractors, subcontractors, field crews, inspectors, and vendors.
Review, process, and/or approve daily field reports, RFIs, field changes, redlines, etc.
Enforce safety standards, conduct site audits, and ensure compliance with client and contract requirements.
Identify and proactively address potential delays, change orders, or quality issues.
Coordinate with client project management team, engineering, procurement, project controls, commissioning, and start-up teams.
Monitor schedules, manpower, material deliveries, and equipment utilization.
Ensure construction aligns with drawings, specifications, and quality standards.
Conduct daily/weekly site meetings, reporting progress, risks, and mitigation plans.
Track work progress and verify quantities for invoicing and forecasting.
Support QA/QC inspection, testing, and turnover documentation.
Preferred Qualifications:
Construction Management with at least 10 year's experience OR
Bachelor’s degree in construction management, Engineering, or related field and/or a minimum of 3 years of experience in supervising construction.
OSHA 30 training is preferred but not required.
USACE CQM certification is highly preferred.
Prior experience in stabilization of slab foundation is a plus.
Familiarity with cost tracking, progress reporting, and construction scheduling tools.
Strong leadership and field coordination.
Ability to manage simultaneous scopes across multiple active sites.
Proficient in problem solving, conflict resolution, and decision-making under pressure.
Highly organized with real-time documentation habits.
Focus on maximizing the return on the owner’s investment by controlling costs and maintaining quality.
Must be able to lift at least 40lbs. and work outdoors, as needed.
Willingness to travel to company offices, client sites, and/or other project locations.
Proficiency in Microsoft Office products and engineering and inspection-related software.
Ability to work independently and as a valuable team member.
