Come join the DMVA team, apply today!DESCRIPTION OF WORKThis job entails professional environmental work to ensure that DMVA properties and activities adhere to federal, state, local, and military environmental laws, policies, and regulations. Work involves working closely with National Guard units and Readiness Centers, numerous sections within DMVA, to include (but not limited to): The Adjutant General, engineers, project managers, and maintenance personnel. Work tasks include ensuring that DMVA and the PA National Guard remain in compliance with environmental requirements such as CERCLA, the Clean Water Act, NEPA and various other requirements.Examples of work include, but are not limited to the preparation of Environmental Condition of Property (ECP) documentation such as Environmental Baseline Surveys, and NEPA-required documentation; facility compliance assessment visits; hazardous materials evaluations; research of historical information and review of construction plans, renovation plans, blueprints, maps, geospatial information system (GIS) data/products, and training/management plans to determine environmental impact and conformance with applicable environmental laws, policies, rules and regulations.Interested in learning more? Work hours are 8:15 AM to 4:30 PM, Monday - Friday, with a 45-minute lunch.
Telework: You may have the opportunity to work from home (telework) part-time, up to 50% of the scheduled time within each pay period. In order to telework, you must have a securely configured high-speed internet connection and work from an approved location inside Pennsylvania. If you are unable to telework, you will have the option to report to the headquarters office in Annville.

REQUIRED EXPERIENCE, TRAINING & ELIGIBILITYQUALIFICATIONS
Minimum Experience and Training Requirements:
Two years of professional environmental protection program experience and a bachelor's degree, which includes 24 credits in the physical, biological, or environmental sciences; or
An equivalent combination of professional experience and training, which includes 24 college credits in the physical, biological, or environmental sciences.
Post Employment Requirement:This position is required to obtain valid certification in 40-hour Hazardous Waste Operations, Procedures and Emergency Response (HAZWOPER) training within six months of hire and successfully complete 8-hour annual HAZWOPER refresher training thereafter.
You must possess a valid federal or state-issued photo ID and pass a favorable NCIC screening for admittance to Fort Indiantown Gap.
This position is required to obtain valid certification as a licensed asbestos inspector in Pennsylvania within six months of hire.Other Requirements:
