Description:Two positions available: one full-time and one part-time.The Environmental Services Aide is responsible for performing the daily cleaning tasks of residents' rooms, public, and administrative areas of Our Lady of Angels Convent or the Assisi House depending on the building where the employee is assigned to work; and the clinical areas at Assisi House. Ensures that the highest standards of cleanliness are maintained in accordance with policies and procedures of the department.
Performs cleaning tasks in assigned areas by following established departmental procedures including: occupied and unoccupied resident rooms and all furniture in assigned areas.
Sweeps, vacuums, dust mops, and removes spillages by wet mopping according to department procedure, giving special attention to baseboards and comers.
Collects, separates, and transports trash outside or to holding areas including general, infectious and recyclable trash.
Stocks service cart with appropriate supplies and transports to work Replenishes expendable items in restrooms such as toilet paper, paper towels and soap.
Cleans and polishes metal or porcelain fixtures in bathrooms including toilets, sinks, mirrors, walls and floors.
Requirements:
Is a high school graduate or the equivalent.
Has a minimum of three (3) months' experience in environmental services or in another service related field with customer contact.
Is able to work the scheduled hours. May includes some weekends and holidays.
Able to tolerate long periods of pushing, standing, walking, bending and reaching. Able to lift a minimum of 25 pounds.
Gives attention to detail. Is able to set and follow priorities. Is able to read, comprehend and follow instructions.
Able to perform repetitive cleaning tasks throughout the day to complete the requirements of the job.
